Volume I has a mounted inscription from the author to Richard Percival, dated Canonbury 1841, remarking: "only eight copies were printed on fine hot-pressed paper, with proof impressions of Leech's Designs, & this is one of them." There are later title pages to each of the 6 "graphically enriched" volumes, with the imprint: Richard Percival, Highbury Park, 1842.
