Nicolas Sinsson is recorded at Sèvres 1773-1795 as a painter of flowers and of patterns.

André-Joseph La France is recorded at Sèvres 1776-1803 and again 1813-1828 as a flower painter and as a gilder.

The plaster model for this form is retained at Sèvres. The cover for the model, here lacking, is minimally convex and may have taken the finial designed by Boizot of an 'hourglass' with a double-ended leaf lying over the center found on other pieces designed by Boizot at this time.
