An Italian maiolica wet drug jar named for OL. D. SCORP. SEM. in manganese on a banner above a shield bearing the device of a star above a wheatsheaf, the banner surmounted by a fleur-de-lis within a garland of stylised flowers and a meandering line border, dated to the reverse 1721 (spout reduced, hairlines and chips) circa 1721, probably Savona -- 8¾in. high
