each with eared leather-lined hinged top with gilt-foliate border, enclosing lined interior, the back and front with oval floral porcelain plaque, on cabriole legs with scrolling gilt clasps and gilt sabots joined by galleried quarter-veneered undertier, each - 17½in. (44.5cm.) wide, 12½in. (32cm.) deep, 28in. (71cm.) high. (2)

November 1992, Lot 104-5 and a suite of furniture also attributed to Mayhew and Ince, and with simpler foliate cresting, in the saloon at Chirk Caslte, Denbighshire.
