This desk stand and the following lot may have been executed by Thomas Parker, specialist inlayer of Air Street, London, who was patronised by George Prince Regent, later King George IV while the mounts may have been supplied by Thomas Thursfield, brass manufacturer of Oxford Street, London, (see Carlton House, Queens Gallery Exhibition, 1991, P108)
