Rendell states 'In 1927 there was a review in the photographic press of the Ruby 16mm. cine camera and projector in which it was stated that it had been manufactured by TP...but no information has yet been found'.
The Amateur Photographer article stated that the camera and its associated projector 'hold a deservedly high place amongst apparatus of the kind'. All optical fittings were made by Dallmeyer, 'the camera is constructed of metal throughout, with a crystalline black finish. Interior fittings are plated or enamelled, with phosphor bronze for the waering parts, and a burnished track for the film. The shutter is well balanced, and perfectly synchronised, while a mechanical indicator shows the amount of film exposed andin reserve.' The price of the complete camera was #35.

This is the only known example of this camera.
