A usnusual standared compass with projection reflecting system (damaged) through the base (presumably to wheelhouse beneath 'monkey island') by C Plath, Hamburg, spirit dampered compass card signed Cassens o Plath Hamburg, the octagonaly shaped mahogany plinth with square deck mounting, shaped binnacle cover with side oil lamp (lacking reservoir) -- 60in high.
