This table de milieu is based on a model supplied by Jacob-Desmalter in 1808 to Caroline Murat for her bedroom in the Elysée Palace(See D. Ledoux-Lebard, Le Mobilier Français du XIXe Siècle, 1984. p. 271).

With a moulded rectangular green marble top above a conforming frieze applied with berried-laurel over four female caryatids and two rectangular supports applied with anthemion on trestle ends with a cross-stretcher centering an urn flanked by hippocampi--33½in.
