An Unusual 32-Bore Silver-Mounted Flintlock Pistol

With swamped reblued two-stage Spanish barrel (some light pitting) with chiselled girdle, the forward part sixteen-sided, the octagonal breech section struck with Barcelona mark (gold lining missing), nine small gold-lined decorative marks and nine silver-filled dots (some gold and silver replaced, some missing), engraved tang, signed border engraved flat bevelled lock with stepped tail, figured walnut full stock (cracked, minor chip) carved in relief with shells at the barrel tang, full silver mounts finely engraved in rococo taste, solid side-plate, vacant escutcheon, single silver ramrod-pipe, and later ramrod, silver maker's mark JA
