MACON AND POUILLY-FUISSE FROM GUFFENS-HEYNEN
There has arguably been no other single Domaine in any viticultural region of France which has earned such an extraordinary reputation in so short a time. A Belgian of remarkable winemaking talent, he is based in the Pouilly-Fuissé village of Vergisson, and produces wines only from Mâcon and Pouilly-Fuissé itself. He is also co-owner (with a Belgian wine merchant, Jean Ryckaert) of the equally celebrated (and new) négociant, Verget. Guffens wines are scarce, and highly sought after
