A quite extraordinary quantity of this, one of the greatest 1982s, in three bottle sizes.
A sweet, slightly caramelly, gingery nose. A charmer, fragrant, spicy, cloves and cinnamon, not remotely a heavyweight, lovely aftertaste. In 1989 slightly deeper than Haut-Brion, but a similar colour, with lovely gradation and long romanesque-arch legs; a soft, fragrant, harmonious bouquet; sweet, soft; very pleasant weight, too good to spit out. Lovely wine
