Bringing to a close a magnificent decade for the Woltners. Distinctly dry, full-bodied, velvety yet loaded with tannin in the early to mid-1970s. By the mid 1980s sweetening up. An impressively hefty wine in 1985 and, most recently, a magnum, still very deep, thick, rich-looking; a very sweet, fairly evolved, lovely, rich nose with fig-like fruit; sweetish, full-bodied, rich and rounded, still plenty of tannin, acidity and good length
