A PAIR OF LUDWIGSBURG MINIATURE FIGURES OF A BUCKLE-SELLER AND A PATISSERIE-SELLER from the Carnaval de Venise, he in green fur-lined iron-red hat, green waistcoat and iron-red breeches, she in a white bonnet, iron-red bodice and blue spotted skirt, seated on rustic chairs before trestle-tables, he displaying gilt buckles on cards and she selling patisseries, on rectangular bases moulded with paving stones (one leg of each chair lacking, his table and chair broken from base and repaired, one buckle and his base chipped, her table with chip to legs at cross-over section), incised P.3 G/I. to him and Fi:Z.C. to her, both with painter's H mark, circa 1765
