This table forms part of a group of which the distinguishing characteristic is the tripartite inlaid fluting in the frieze. Some tables have simply groups of three flutes, others have continuous fluted shaded or coloured in groups of three. It seems probable that at least part of the group is Irish; a table sold anonymously, Phillips London, 16 June 1992, lot 97, was inlaid with a foliate scroll band around the top that was used by William Moore of Dublin.
