The arms are those of Loftus quartering Loftus, Hume and Crewkerne, with Hume quartering others in pretence for Nicolas, 1st Earl of Ely P.C. (d.1766) and his wife Mary (d.1740), eldest daughter and heir of Sir Gustavus Hume, 3rd Baronet of Fermough, whom he married in 1736
