A 12-BORE (2¾IN) SINGLE-TRIGGER SELF-OPENING LIVE PIGEON GUN BY J. PURDEY, No. 26699, no safety, Purdey single-trigger firing reverse barrel order, treble-grip action with side-clips, the fences chiselled in relief with oak leaves and acorns on a matt ground, best bold foliate-scroll engraving with much hardening-colour, well-figured stock with Monte Carlo comb and recoil-pad, cast-on for the left shoulder, English and beavertail forends, the reverse-choke chopper-lump barrels with matt ventilated rib, mid and fore bead-sights and scroll-engraved breech-ends
