A closely related picture of a Spanish youth, also half length and wearing a similar hat and neckerchief but facing to the right, was included in the Glyn Philpot exhibition at the Ashmolean Museum, Oxford, 15 Sept.-28 Nov. 1976, no.9 and pl.1
