A MEISSEN DOCUMENTARY BERGLEUTE TEACUP AND SAUCER painted by Bonaventura Gottlieb Häuer, the cup with a miner in a monogramed cap with a gallant and companion and a further miner kneeling beside a pile of gold nuggets, one rock signed Häuer f., the saucer with a miner cruely flaying another beside a pile of ore within gilt line rims, the interior of the cup, each side of the handle and underside of the saucer with scattered deutsche Blumen (slight rubbing to saucer), blue crossed swords marks, Pressnummern 11 to cup and 52 to saucer, gilder's N. marks to both pieces, circa 1740
