A BÖTTGER GOLDMALEREI TEAPOT AND COVER, gilt at Augsburg in the Seuter workshop, of squat baluster form with moulded gilt scroll handle and faceted bird's head and foliage spout, one side gilt with a fisherman and his companion with a dog beneath trees, the reverse with four figures one holding a large net both supported on Gitterwerk panels, the domed cover gilt with two figures between gilt band rings, the shoulder with C-scrolls and pendant husks (some minute chipping to rim, footrim and finial, slight rubbing to spout, handle and underside flange of cover), lustred O mark, circa 1720
