The intials F.F. are thought to be the stamp of François Fleury, ébéniste, working until the early Louis XVI period in rue Traversière, Paris. J.-B. Chevallier is not a recorded ébéniste but may have been a member of the family of Ebénistes which included Charles and Jean Mathieu Chevallier
