A MATCHED PAIR OF ORMOLU-MOUNTED EBONY AND EBONISED BRASS-INLAID BOULLE PEDESTALS each with shaped rectangular top mounted with a floral and trellis-pattern border, the cavetto cornice inlaid with scrolling foliate sprays and centred by an acanthus burst within a lambrequin collar flanked by acanthus angles, the tapering panelled body inlaid with premier and contre partie, with stylised foliate arabesques surmounted by a mask, Indian masks and grotesque hybrid birds, on spreading moulded platform base with shaped apron and later gadrooned ormolu-mounted bun feet, minor differences in the construction, one with later top, mounted to form a pair, basically early 18th Century
