2 volumes in one (volume I in two parts), large 4° (364 x 270mm.). 62 plates, comprising 41 coloured aquatint plates, 5 double-page, some finished by hand; 1 tinted aquatint plate; 11 engraved plates, 2 double-page (one spotted, one creased); 9 lithographed plates, 3 on india paper and mounted (first and last few text leaves somewhat spotted). Contemporary olive-green half-morocco gilt, t.e.g. (somewhat soiled and scuffed, lower joint split).
FIRST EDITION. The fine coloured aquatints (all, with one exception, of vases) are in the main printed in two colours, occasionally in three or finished by hand in a third. Blackmer 1135.
