FIRST EDITION AND A FINE ASSOCIATION COPY. The 24pp. of manuscript by Lofft at the beginning and end include 7 autograph manuscript poems, dated between 1769 and 1773. They include his tripos verse in praise of Shakespeare that was 'warmly praised by Garrick' (DNB). His first published work appeared in 1775. The Britwell Handlist, vol.I p.11.
