A pair of Derby models of the 'Welsh' tailor and his wife
Circa 1820, each incised No 62 3 and with painted script numeral 5
After the Meissen originals by J.J. Kändler and J.F. Eberlein, modelled to left and right, riding goats, the tailor wearing black tricorn and red frock-coat and black shoes, carrying two goat kids on his back, his wife wearing a bonnet, purple bodice and a green and gilt-spotted pink skirt, carrying a pannier on her back with two children, another child at her breast, on green and gilt scroll-moulded bases (slight damage and restoration to extremities)
