Dampt's work was retailed along with that of Charpentier, Selmersheim and others at the Galerie des Artistes Modernes, established in the same year (1895) as Samuel Bing opened L'Art Nouveau Bing.

The superstructure with small upper shelf divided into compartments supported on carved brackets flanked by two small cupboards, the kidney shaped writing surface inset with original leather, the lower portion with two recessed drawers, finely chased gilt bronze foliate handles, the whole carved with pine cone motifs and applied with cast floral and foliate mounts detailed in blue enamel
