A MINTON MAJOLICA TRIPOD VASE, the tapering urn-shaped bowl resting on the backs of three doves with outspread wings, the vase glazed in a pale turquoise and moulded at the shoulder with pendent leaves within a band of lambrequins glazed in claret and edged in ochre, the neck with a band of overlapping half-circles enclosing bosses, on a trefoil-shaped base moulded with flowerheads within rectangular cartouches (minor glaze flake to breast of one dove), impressed mark and number 1482, moulded registration mark, date code for 1870
