A brass-inlaid rosewood writing-table of very similar restrained design and exactly the same size is illustrated in C. Claxton-Stevens and Stewart Whittington 18th Century English Furniture, The Norman Adams Collection, Woodbridge, 1983, p. 160. Another, even simpler and inlaid with a pale-coloured wood, is illustrated in F. Lewis Hinckley, The More Significant Georgian Furniture, New York, 1990, plate 83, ill. 179.
