This watercolour shows the same cottage as 'Near Hambledon' [lot no. 17]. Many cottages in the vicinity of Sandhills were painted on more than one occasion. Until a few years ago it was divided into two dwellings but it has recently undergone considerable modernisation. The kitchen chimney has now been removed and the small upper window blocked in
