There is a typed inscription attached to an old label on the back which reads 'A larger version of this picture, measuring 26½-ins. by 241/8-ins., from the Tatlock Collection, is in the Usher Gallery, Lincoln. A still larger version, measuring 64-ins. by 421/2-ins., from the Arthur Sanderson Collection, is in the National Gallery of Scotland, Edinburgh./Lot 129, Christie's, 5-11-1954.'
