A VERY RARE FOUR-BARREL FLINTLOCK PEPPERBOX REVOLVER with two-stage hand-rotated barrels, each retaining traces of engraving on the short octagonal breech section, and rotating within a signed brass sleeve engraved with scrolls, flowerheads and foliage, border engraved bevelled back-action lock also with engraved rococo decoration (cock associated), figured walnut butt profusely inlaid with silver-wire scrolls, flowers and shells, and a trophy of arms, paktong mounts engraved with rococo ornament and including rounded side-plate and trophy of arms escutcheon, iron trigger-guard releasing the barrel-block, and iron ramrod housed between the barrels, by I.
