The artist is probably to be identified with the 'Captain Colebridge' (an amateur painter of watercolours of Montreal winter landscapes and member of the Montreal Sketching Club) listed by J. Russell Harper in Early Painters and Engravers in Canada, Toronto, 1970, p. 70.
