HARRY MOGER Born in 1879 in Southampton, Henry Hubert Moger signed for his home club as a goalkeeper in 1900 after brief spells with Forest Swifts and Freemantle. His 6ft 2in., 12st. 2lb. frame was ideal for his chosen role, but as deputy to the England International 'keeper, Jack Robinson, Moger was to make only 14 Southern League appearances for Southampton. In 1903, he moved to Manchester United where he subsequently appeared in 242 League and 22 Cup matches. During the period 1907-11 he was the automatic first choice, during which spell two League Championships and one F.A. Cup win came to Old Trafford. When he retired from football in 1912, he continued to live in Manchester working as a commission agent. Moger died in 1927. The following six lots were awarded to HARRY MOGER

Just two seasons after being promoted from Division 2, Manchester United won their first-ever Division 1 Championship. They attained a then record 52 points with Aston Villa being runners-up on goal difference with 43 points.
A similar medal in 9ct gold awarded to Tony Wilcox (reserve goalkeeper) was offered in these rooms lot 13, 14th October 1992. It would appear that the official medals in 15ct gold were awarded to the first team and due to the fact that this was the first Championship win by United 9ct examples were given to the remaining second/reserve team members.
