THOMAS HENRY CRAWSHAW A centre-half, Crawshaw was typical of the energetic, slightly built player of his era. He was born in Sheffield in 1872 and joined 'Wednesday in 1894 after early playing days with Park Grange, Attercliffe and Heywood Central. At Hillsborough he was a doughty servant whose wholehearted commitment throughout 90 minutes, unselfish play, hard tackling and dextrous headwork helped his side to considerable success. The honours achieved during his career comprising two Division I Championships, one Division 2 Championship and 2 F.A. Cup Winners medals. Crawshaw's International record of 10 caps over nine years was distinguished if somewhat occasional. Crawshaw died in 1960.
