A PAIR OF MEISSEN FOUR-LIGHT CANDELABRA modelled as a man and a womam seated wearing striped and flowered dress, each with a child standing on their laps and with a scrolling cornucopia clasped between them, the nozzles with detachable scrolling arms applied with flowers and fruit, on scroll-moulded shaped square bases painted with scattered birds and insects, the details enriched in gilding (one arm re-stuck, large chip to one drip-pan, small chips to applied petals and leaves), blue crossed swords marks, one with Pressnummern 74 and 77, incised B176. and D.177. circa 1880
