A FINE KIS GHIORDES RUG, the ivory field scattered with small leaf-motifs around an indigo and blackcurrant-red concentric hexagonal medallion containing angular floral sprays and arabesques, a stylised mosque-lamp above and below, the hooked sea-green spandrels with carnation flowerheads and serrated leaves, an aubergine panel above and below containing angular cloudband and serrated leafy vine, in an ivory border of small leaf motifs around alternating sea-green and indigo hooked triangular panels containing angular flowering vine between ivory and chocolate-brown linked flowerhead stripes, 18th century (slight wear, very small repairs, slight loss to outer stripe)
