There is a similar roundel in the Museum für Islamische Kunst, made of light green glass, with a section of the rim missing and with a slightly weaker impression of exactly the same scene (Kröger, J.: Glas, Isalmische Kunst Loseblattkatalog unpublizierte Werke aus deutschen Museen, Bd.1, Mainz, 1984, no.119, pp.139-40). Similarities are noted with depictions found on mina'i pottery, where the scenehas been identified as showing Sapunid, the Indian bride of Bahram Gur (Atil, E.: Ceramics from the World of Islam, Washington D.C., 1973, no.39)
