Worked in satin stitch and couched gold thread with roundels of figures engaged in various activities, interspersed with various species of birds, mythical animals and flower sprays, picked out in dark blue, green, lavender, white and black thread, within white silk-embroidered borders, the cuffs finely worked with peacocks and parrots, and cranes on the reverse--41¼in. (104.6cm.) long
