Cushion-shaped, the gadrooned rims with scrolls and shells at intervals, the high-domed covers with chased fluting and applied rocaille shells at intervals, surmounted by a removable branch-like finial issuing from a calyx of autumn leaves and acorns; the stands each on four scroll feet chased with a band of flutes, with reeded leaf-clad handles, with removable liners, engraved on covers with a coat-of-arms, crest, and motto within a foliate cartouche, the dishes engraved with a crest, marked on dishes, covers, handles--length over handles 15 3/4in.(40cm.)
