Of oval form on four acanthus scroll feet, with gadrooned rim and two acanthus clad scroll handles, the domed cover chased with a band of gadrooning and surmounted by a pomegranite finial issuing from leaves, with plated liner, the side engraved with a coat-of-arms within a foliate mantling, the cover engraved with a crest, marked under base and on cover--length over handles 15in.(38cm.)
