In the Louis XVI taste, of oval form on four paw supports headed by applied ram's heads, with openwork apron with chased ribbon bands, trailing foliage, flowers and acanthus, applied on either side with an oval cartouche enclosing a helm and motto and flanked by winged putti and turtle doves with a ram's mask below, the rim chased with a band of Vitruvian scrolls, with cut-glass bowl with scallopped rim, pparently unmarked--14 1/2in.(36.8cm.) long
