A GEORGE II SILVER SAUCEBOAT, TWO PAIRS OF SALTS AND A VICTORIAN SALT, with maker's marks of; all London, the sauceboat, unregistered mark 3596, Untraced maker, Grimwade, 1759, oval with crest, raised on on three foliate scroll and hoof supports, with foliate scroll handle and applied gadrooned rim--length over handle, 9in. (22.8cm.); the first pair of salts--maker's mark worn, circa 1733, the second pair, J. Sanders, 1742, circular on three pad supports, the sides chased with flowering foliage on matted ground--2¼in. (5.7cm.) diam.; the Victorian salt, T.W. Dobson, 1900, circular, the sides chased with vertical reeds, monogrammed, on three pad feet with scroll supports, with shaped everted rim--2½in.
