A GEORGE II SILVER COFFEE POT, maker's mark probably that of William Skeen, London, 1757, tapering cylindrical, on short molded circular base, lower section chased and engraved with floral swags twice centering rocaille scroll swag, conforming chasing to shoulder, engraved with coat of arms within rocaille and floral surround one side, the other with crest, with part rocaille highly upraised scroll spout, wood scroll handle, the hinged part chased molded low domed cover topped by bud finial--11in. (27.9cm.) high, gross weight 29oz.
