The arms are those of Walter, 18th Earl of Ormonde who, in 1811, was awarded 216,000 pounds by the British Government in exchange for his family's hereditary right to collect excise on wine coming into Ireland. A soup tureen by Paul Storr from the same service will be offered in the Park Avenue Silver sale on October 14th.
