Depicting the Triumph of Love with Venus seated upon a golden chariot drawn by unicorns on a bank of clouds followed by attendants bearing palm fronds. Cupid appears beside the sleeping Adonis with a broken arrow at his side, the borders woven with scrolling vines issuing grape clusters and alternating with medallions enclosing animals, the selvedge woven with a town shield and weavers' monogram-11ft. 3in. x 12ft. 10in. (3m. 38cm. x 3m. 25cm.)
