A FRENCH RENAISSANCE PARCEL-GILT OAK CHAPEL SCREEN
BY PIERRE CORBIERE, ORLEANS, DATED 1639
Surmounted by three arched pediments carved with egg-and-dart and scrolling foliage, centrally carved with an urn en flambeau and cornucopiae, the frieze decorated with scrolling acanthus, raised on fluted columns and flanked by cartouche shaped niches-approximately 17ft. 7in. x 16ft. 10in. (5m. 36cm. x 5m. 13cm.)
