George Zimbel worked as a documentary photographer in New York from 1947-1971. He studied at the Photo League in 1949, and worked with Alexy Brodovitch in 1951. His work is included in the permanent collection at the Museum of Modern Art and at The International Center of Photography, The Canadian Museum of Contemporary Photography; Musee du Quebec and The Canada Council Art Bank.
