Of pear form with tall, cylindrical neck and slightly rolled lip and resting on a ring foot enclosing a recessed base, painted in underglaze blue with a a pair of birds perched on stems of lush roses and with a large butterfly and a bat on the opposite side, all below a collar of fretwork and lappets at the base of the neck, a single blue line encircling the foot- 10 1/2 in. (26.7 cm.) high
