OPENING DAY AT YANKEE STADIUM. A news photo showing the flag-draped Presidential box in the newly opened Yankee stadium as Harding, in a dark suit, reaches over and shakes the hand of the Babe, who is wearing his familiar striped uniform without his cap. Col. Ruppert looks on from the side. A typewritten caption beneath (part of the negative) reads: "After welcoming First Fan of the land to Yanks' new home, 'Babe' Ruth, baseball's first citizen, displayed his wares by batting 1,000 - two singles, a whale of a homer and a walk.
