Stamped by James S. Davis, Boston, 1815-1830
The andirons: each with a double-reel and ball finial above a banded sphere and double-reel support over a square fillet above a columnar shaft over a rectangular plinth, on spurred arched legs with padded hooved feet with curved billet bars with ball and reel stop and legs, stamped "JAMES.DAVIS/BOSTON"; together with matching firetools comprising a shovel and a pair of tongs
