"Good in cask, promising a long life. Slowly developing though
rich and elegant. Eight consistently admiring notes from the 1980s.
My top wine in a blind tasting of '70s, in Bordeaux, Sept 1986. It
was rich-looking, had a glorious bouquet, complex, cedar and ripe
fruit, and was sweet, full, rich, soft and fleshy. In short,
perfection. It still is. Last tasted Feb 1989. Five stars.
Lovely now, will keep." JMB
